Welcome

Hello, and welcome to the Elizabethtown Heritage Council web page. We invite you to take a peek into the past and explore danabethElizabethtown and Hardin County’s colorful heritage.

Please allow me to explain a little about who the Heritage Council is and what we do. The Heritage Council is a non-profit organization dedicated to historic preservation and economic development of the downtown area. Through membership dues , grants , and activities we promote the downtown area of Elizabethtown. By producing high-quality events , addressing critical design issues, taking an active role in economic development and forging strong partnerships with members and business owners the Heritage Council is bringing about successful revitalization to the downtown area.

I should note, a successful revitalization program depends on the entire community. That is why we have ongoing opportunities for you to help with this important process. Maybe you would like to serve on a committee, volunteer to help with different events, or contribute by sponsoring various activities that are taking place in the community; if this is the case please browse our membership section. Contact the Heritage Council personally. We would love to talk with you.

Join us as we “Link Heritage and Progress.”
